Heavy With Hope

Hope

It Won’t Pay the Bills

(But It Can Build a Future)

People are starting businesses, putting together corporate plans and books dreaming of a future that holds prosperity and time freedom. Just this week (as in - Monday alone) I had three clients reach out to form business entities.

I remember when I formed mine - Cody Hand, LLC. There was hope, but that hope was heavy. It wasn’t the best time to be starting a business, it wasn’t the ideal year nor the season as I have one about to start college. But the hope was real. It was palpable, and that tension between the heavy and the hope was necessary.

Hope alone doesn’t move mountains. Hope alone doesn’t create systems or revenue. The hope must be combined with the heavy. The heavy of mouths to feed, bills to pay, clients to recruit and then expectations to exceed.

But those three new business owners know this. When we talk about their hopes, I cannot help but talk about their heavy - the responsibility to keep up with the books, to adopt articles and operating agreements, to avoid the pitfalls of business ownership that people often come to me to discuss when it is too late.

We create estate plans because our hope, coupled with our heavy, has built a life we want to leave to the next generation.

So today, as I draft those business documents, I do so because this is the heavy that takes the hope into reality.

Are you ready to launch your business, start your C4, or crisis proof your life? Give me a shout and let’s get started!
